Margaret (Meg) Bredeson is a research communications specialist in the early childhood research area at Child Trends. Meg has over 12 years of experience working on research and evaluation studies to promote the well-being of young children and their families through early childhood systems, programs, and services. She has managed and supported multiple research and evaluation projects for government agencies, foundations, and non-profit groups at the national, state, and local levels.

Her interests include improving early childhood policies and systems, understanding disparities in children’s learning and development, framing early childhood issues, and translating research to inform policy and practice. In her role as a research communications specialist, she is promoting the use of research by early childhood practitioners and policymakers through thoughtful and innovative communications. Meg holds a Master’s degree in public policy from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Macalester College.
